Demi Moore Gets Weird at "TERRYWOOD" Opening

Stepping out to support a talented friend, Demi Moore attended the OHWOW & HTC celebration of the release of 'TERRYWOOD' at The Standard Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, Florida on Friday (December 7).

The "G.I. Jane" star wore a long-sleeved peach, brown, and blue dress, with open-toed black heels and thick-rimmed glasses as she posed next to photographer Terry Richardson.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, on Wednesday the 50-year-old actress joined Lenny Kravitz at the SoHo Beach House in Miami.

At the party, she unabashedly flirted with the "Fly Away" singer and a witness said, "She was most ready to party than anyone else in the room!"

With a Little Luck: A Novel

My good friend Caprice Crane's new book, With a Little Luck, is out today. Yay, Caprice!

It's gotten great reviews:

"Crane is one of the funniest writers of popular fiction around. The dialog (inner and outer) is laugh-out-loud, snort-inducing hilarious . . . Readers will want to cross their fingers and spit while throwing salt over their shoulders if it helps Berry reach her dreams. Highly recommended."

Library Journal

"Fans of Stacy Ballis and Cara Lockwood will appreciate Crane's effortlessly funny style, which is often attempted in popular fiction but is rarely this well executed...Lighthearted and charmingly honest."

—Booklist

"[A] satisfying romantic comedy...[with] real character growth."

—Kirkus Reviews

And even better blurbs:

"Romantic, poignant and funny—this book is a lucky find for lit fans. Caprice Crane is a nimble and gifted storyteller."

—Diablo Cody, Academy Award-winning screenwriter of Juno

"A hilarious romp that oozes charm and giddy fun. Caprice Crane is a true talent."

—Molly Jong-Fast, author of The Social Climber's Handbook

"Witty, fast-paced, and sheer fun. Caprice Crane is a master of dialogue. Half the time I was reading this book I was smiling, which made me look like a crazy person on the subway."

—Jancee Dunn, author of Don’t You Forget About Me and Why Is My Mother Getting a Tattoo?

"Absolutely charming and hilarious."

—Missy Peregrym, star of the movie Stick It and ABC's Rookie Blue

"With a Little Luck scores in humor, head, and heart. In other words, it’s a perfect trifecta."

—Karyn Bosnak, author of 20 Times a Lady (soon to be the major motion picture What's Your Number?)

(Omg, who is that last fantastic blurber?) (I meant every word of it.)

And most importantly, she has the cutest dog ever (who likes to video chat with Bev):

Anyway, check it out, buy it—it's fantastic!

'Hunger Games' Director Gary Ross Not Returning For 'Catching Fire'?

Lionsgate and a rep for Ross have no comment on Playlist report.

That sound you hear is a cannon firing in the distance, because a new report is claiming "Hunger Games" director Gary Ross will not be returning for the sequel, "Catching Fire."

The Playlist is reporting that Ross informed Lionsgate and Summit earlier this week that he would not return to direct the sequel to the box-office smash, which has made $263 million to date.

This directly contradicts a report from The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week that indicated that negotiations between Ross and the studio were ongoing but tough. According to that story, the issue simply came down to money, something the Playlist story calls a "small part of the motivation." Lionsgate reportedly paid Ross a relatively low $3 million for "The Hunger Games," with 5 percent of the back end.

MTV News reached out to both Lionsgate and Gary Ross. The studio had no comment, and a rep for Ross said he was traveling and could not comment at this time.

The Playlist explained that Ross' departure from the series based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling novels comes from the director's desire to work on something different. The report also says that his next project could be one he's written himself and one that could earn him more money than directing "Catching Fire" would have.

The news of Ross' departure comes right on the heels of word that Fox and Lionsgate have agreed to a filming schedule for their shared star Jennifer Lawrence. The sequel to "X-Men: First Class" will begin filming this January to make room for "Catching Fire," which shoots later this year.

There's no word yet on who could potentially replace Ross, but our own "Hunger Games" columnist Amy Wilkinson had some ideas of her own.

Check out everything we've got on "Catching Fire."

'The Hobbit' Is Going To Be 'Amazing,' Star Says

Benedict Cumberbatch tells MTV News working with Peter Jackson was 'extraordinary.'

For those who have been keeping tabs on the comings and goings surrounding Peter Jackson's return to Middle-earth in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," there is a unique level of excitement building around the film. The die-hard Jackson fans and "Lord of the Rings" loyalists are eager to see anything helmed by the Oscar-winner, particularly when it involves a faithful adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's beloved book, which has a different tone and fanbase from "LOTR."

This excitement level is not just for fans like us, but everyone involved with the production as well. When MTV News caught up with rising star Benedict Cumberbatch recently, who is playing not one but two roles in the film, he was full of praise for Jackson as well as his friend/co-star Martin Freeman.

"I was very lucky [to work] with Pete," Cumberbatch told us at Elton John's Oscar-viewing party. "As far as the experience, what an extraordinary one it was because at the time I was in my work; I was in isolation with him and this incredible tag team. And at the very cool place with that technology doing mo-cap for two characters, Smaug the dragon and another character, which will remain nameless, and it was an awful lot of fun."

Cumberbatch went on to say that he hasn't seen any finished shots from the film since he worked mainly by himself doing voice-over work and movements for the characters.

"It's a sort of wonderful ongoing process," he said. "I spent a lot of time recording voice as well as doing movements. So, it was sort of freeing; it was fun. It was like playing a game. It's going to be an amazing film; it's going to be a real treat. I watched 'The Lord of the Rings' again before I started working, and the way those films grow in depth of craft on every level are extraordinary. Their mark is for that."

The "War Horse" actor admitted that the only trouble he had while on set was keeping a straight face when he saw his friend and "Sherlock" co-star Martin Freeman in costume as lovable Hobbit Bilbo Baggins.

"It was great. I got to hang out with him, and I kept a straight face for a bit and then I started giggling because I know Martin, I don't know Bilbo," Cumberbatch said with a grin. "For Martin to be sitting there playing Bilbo is amazing. He's going to be amazing, he's going to be fantastic in this film."
